Announcing the District Shootout T-Shirt Design Contest
The Shootout: We are now accepting design submissions on a round-the-clock basis for our collection of printed organic T’s. Here’s how it works: designs submissions will be posted on our Design-Review site as they are sent to us. The design community is then free to vote for and critique the designs they like best, and at the end of the month we will select the designs with the best feedback to print. Depending on the responses we will select up to the top 5 shirts for printing. Each month one non-profit organization will be selected to receive 10% of the proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts for the first 30 days.
Theme: This month’s theme is to create the best bicycle t-shirt ever. Be creative, no text allowed! Time’s Up (http://times-up.org) an NYC based bicycle advocacy group will be the t-shirt’s beneficiary. Submissions accepted until May 9, at which point the next contest will be announced.
The Prize: $250 cash, plus a $100 gift certificate to DC, plus $250 every time we reprint the shirt.
Let us sum up: You design t-shirt, other people like your shirt. We give you money and make the shirt. The designated non-profit organization gets 10% of the proceeds. Easy.
